o Identify and introduce to the research team representatives of different aid actors.
o Identify sources of information on the presence and funding of different aid actors, and collect and
analysis data in order to describe the geographic presence and funding levels of different categories of
aid actors inside Syria;
o Support thematic analysis of and interpret data collected through key informant interviews, to identify
issues and themes relevant to the research questions;

o Building up a primary health care program in NW Syria consists of: 6 primary health care centers and one

o Contribute effectively in the efforts aiming to re-establish the Expanded Program for Immunization EPI in
NW Syria.
o Building the capacity of four national NGOs including the interim health directorate in NW Syria.
o Representing Save the children in international events in the ME, UK and US.
o Spokesperson of SCI for media regarding the Syrian humanitarian crisis.
Mar-May/2015 Emergency Response Team Leader
On March 2015 there was an emergency response after a major battle in NW Syria when more than
300,000 people were displaced in less than two weeks. My role as a team leader was to:
o Lead the emergency team inside Syria in terms of plans, movements, activities and tasks
o Contribute to developing rapid assessment tools and lead the assessment activities.
o Analyze assessment findings, prioritize the needs and contribute to the overall response strategy.
o Oversee the implementation of the planned response, in coordination with sector leads
o Lead the communications and representation regarding this emergency internally and externally.
4. Syria mass vaccination campaign House to House Oral Polio Vaccination (OPV)
Dec/2013- Dec/2015 Idleb Governorate coordinator
o Participating in the macro planning at the country level
o Actively contribute to design, planning and implement an effective and timely polio campaign
o Train districts and sub-districts supervisors in Idleb governorate on Micro planning, Mapping, and
implementation.
o Collect and analyze data from vaccination centers.
o Coordinate between several levels in the vaccination team, with several actors and agencies as well.
o Produce the final report of each round for Idleb governorate.
Impact
o Delivering of 14 rounds of Polio massive vaccination campaign vaccinating more than 300K under five
children in each round in Idleb governorate.
o Eradication of Polio from Syria again as of Nov-2014.
5. Measles Syria mass vaccination campaign
Sep 2014/ Mar 2016 Idleb governorate technical back stop
o Lead the relationship between Save the Children and the implementing partner.
o Support the campaign design by developing micro plans, budget, work plans and daily reports.
o Technical support and training as needed.
o On site visits to evaluate and monitor the vaccination activities.
Sep 2014 Measles incident investigator
o Through the second round of the Measles vaccination campaign in Idleb northern Syria, there was an
incident where 17 children had died after they received the vaccination. This was because of a human
mistake where vaccination teams used a muscular relaxant instead of vaccines diluents.
o My role was to visit the vaccination sites to do an initial investigation, support the independent
investigation team and report back to Save the Children.
6. Syria Relief Charity – NW Syria
June-July 2013 Polio, Measles, and Vitamin A Vaccination Supervisor
o Supervising the campaign in 14 locations vaccinating about 15K under five children.
o Receiving and distributing the vaccines ensuring cold chain requirements.
o Train nurses and volunteers about vaccination planning and safe injection.
o Design vaccination sites and activities.
o Generate progress reports.

I have done a whole set of leadership course at the Queen Elizabeth Academy for Leadership in International
Affairs. Also, I have done dozens of trainings in project management, humanitarian response, emergencies’
management, communication and relations management and other related courses. Most these trainings are
certified and certifications are available upon request.
I am a trainer in few thematic areas related to project management, SHPERE standards (the minimum standards in
humanitarian response), Polio and Measles response and some other NGOs related trainings.

Software Skills: Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point), EpiData, Epi Info, STATA14, R.
Multi-tasking and working to tight time constraints: Led Save the Children health response in Syria which is
one of the most complicated crisis with daily changing environment. This involved advanced planning,
management and coordination skills.

Decision making and problem solving: proved with serious issues faced Save the Children in NW Syria.

interviews with major media networks such as CNN, BBC, Sky news, DW, Al Jazeera.
