RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS:

    During my rotation internship at Alleppo University Hospital, I completed my M.D.  Thesis "DIAGNOSTIC PROBLEM OF ACUTE ABDOMEN" publised 1980 (AL YAFI and BARAKAT) by Faculty of Medicine, University of Aleppo.

    Working at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital gave the opportunity to do a research project.  The 24-hour E.C.G. monitoring referred to the Department of Cardiothoracic Investigations were studied.  The purpose of this is to show the percentage of the different indications for the 24-hour E.C.G. monitoring.  (AL-YAFI and BHOOMKAR).  The results of the study presented to the Trent Regional Health Authority, UNITED KINGDOM, December 1984.

    Case presentation "ATYPICAL PRESENTATION OF CANCER PROSTAT".  Presented at the Trent Regional British Thoracic Society Meeting, September 1986.  We reported a case of Cancer Prostate in 60 year-old man presented with clinical copy and Biopsies diagnosed Endobronchial Metastasis of Prostatic Neoplasia.  (AL-YAFI and HADFIELD).

    "A COMPARISON OF ATENOLOL, NIFEDIPINE AND THEIR COMBINATIONF IN THE TREATMENT OF ANGINA PECTORIS".  A randomized double blind, three-way cross over study on 20 patients.  Published in Atherosclerosis and Cardio Vascular Disease - Vol. 4 1989.  Presented on the 14th of January 1989 as a Postur in San Francisco, U.S.A.  EL-TAMIMI, G.J. Management experience :

     As a chairman of the internal Medicine Department since 1998, I have been involved in running a growing multi specialities department.

      In 2003 KH and CCR merged giving me the opportunity to manage a wider range of hospital based medical services in addition to a polyclinic group practice. Up to date, with the help of the medical staff, we sustained continuos and significant growth in term of volum and reveniew in different areas including out patients visits, In patients admissions, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. We have been successful in expanding and adding new serviceses related to different sub specialities .We have been able to expand the ICU/CCU adding beds,Ventilators, Bi PAP, and Cardiac monitors. We have created 2 chairs Hemodialysis unit, and Sleep monitoring unit. With the help of the management ,I have been actively involved with different Committeesincluding:QualityImprovement,Infection Control,ICU/CCU,Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics, and Credentialling Committees.  The Internal Medicine Department at KHCC covers the following specilities : Pulmonology, Critical care, Cardiology, Gastroentrology, Endocrinology, Dermatology and cosmotic dermatology, Neurology, General and Family medicine, Nephrology, Hematology, Reumatology, and Psychiatry.
