DR. Chamaa graduated from Geneva University – Faculty of Medicine in 1985.
He acquired several other diplomas and postgraduate degrees from Swiss universities in General and Internal medicine and other sub specialties such as Clinical ultrasound, Clinical hypnosis, obesity assessment and medical statistics.
He obtained also many certificates in non-invasive Aesthetic medicine since 2004.
DR. Chamaa is currently the Director of Service Medical Junction-SMJ, a multi-disciplinary medical group, which he established in 1997. SMJ is serving large number of population in high-density area central Geneva.
During the period from 1996 to 1998, he was the Director of emergency service (Médecin Urgence) of the Association des Médecins de Genève (AMG) which served Geneva City.
He was also a representative and a member of several associations and groups in the medical and cultural fields.
In September 2011, following the Syrian uprising, he created Syrian Democrats association, based in Geneva. On December 16 2011, this association launched the first Geneva conference – Urgency Sanitary Syria, a one-day conference which grouped many health supporting organizations created by Syrian diaspora doctors from USA, France, Germany, UK and other countries. This meeting was the milestone for the creation of the Union des Organizations de Soins et Secours Médicaux (www.UOSSM.org) in Paris, the 7th of January 2012.
He is actually the president of UOSSM Swiss and the representative of UOSSM International.
He is also the General Coordinator of HRI (Home Revival Initiative), a civil society movement, created in March 2017, representing major personalities from Syria and the Syrian diaspora across the world working to trigger new mechanisms to help solving the Syrian crisis.
